As long as they don’t use the Boeing Starliner it should be okay.

Considering something like 90% of Americans have never had a passport, they might as well think Canada is next to Australia! Or are you talking postage rates? In that case the Post Office would treat most in-country destinations as “overseas” just to make a buck…

Isn’t Canada a suburb of London on the other side of the Thames? The side with the big ferris wheel.

LOL I do not think the Aussies allow fleas on the tourists. Maybe a little Koala poo, but no fleas. We had a great visit and made some friends. Would love to return down under someday as God and finances allow. Try it if you have not yet gone there.

GAS Designs, whom I bought from, is evidently creating its own website.

i have heard positive things about imaterialise in europe. But, depending on your place, and the volumes to be printed, why not printing this yourself?

Hi Drab, I’ll look into them. I have a local solution that works for my own prints, but this is about selling to others - I haven’t got the time, space, or inclination to get into the home-printing, packing, posting, and sales end of things so I need a company that does all that for me.

That’s my point, too. No problem printing for myself, but if I wanted to share my design with someone from US, for example, then it would make most sense to print it somewhere on the other side of the ocean (from me) to save on shipping. That’s one of many things to consider.

I’ve found a shop called only-games, they 3d-print their stuff, but in order to start selling there you have to pay 25 pounds a month - for now that’s prohibitive for me. Good thing is they also sell paints, so you can order paints together with 3d prints. And the 3d prints get fancy packaging, too.

@barkingdigger , @pawel: that makes perfect sense. Perhaps you should consider one service in US and one in Europe to keep postage down

Yup that’s the way I’m going - I’m just getting there slowly!.. :slightly_smiling_face:

I investigated iMaterialise, there are pros but many cons.

PROs:

  • wide variety of materials, among which there is “high detail resin” used for printing with “material jetting” technology, the same used by Shapeways for “Fine Detail Plastic” materials; this allows you not to modify the design of the products as would be necessary to print in resin with SLA/MSLA technology
  • they have a marketplace where you can open the showcase of your products

CONs:

  • it is possible to sell in the marketplace only products that have already been printed by them
  • they have a production center only in Europe, shipping costs to customers in the US are therefore high
  • the cost of printing with “high detail resin” is prohibitive: one of my products which cost €11.60 on Shapeways in “fine detail plastic”, costs €44.25 on iMaterialise in “high detail resin”

I’m also investigating Craftcloud; I’ll make a post when I have enough info.
