The final assembly of the Supra went very smoothly- exactly what you want at this stage of a project. The fit of the body on the chassis was perfect and that just left a few things like the wing mirrors to do.
I also made up a few logos on my Cricut for the base of the display box.
All in all a thoroughly enjoyable build! I’d just like to say thanks to everyone for their likes, comments and support. This build will be a nice reminder on my shelf of Mr. Tamiya. It has been awesome to be a part of this group build. Thanks to Ryan @Tank_1812 for setting it up and leading it. I’m looking forward to seeing the rest of the builds come together- best of luck to all of you who are still working on theirs.

I painted a tank white. It felt weird.

I used Tamiya flat white in a can, several very light coats to get coverage without flooding the details. It actually worked. After a couple of hours in the sun it got a coat of clear gloss in preparation for decals.
I’m going to slow down and order decals, at least to get the Danish orange shields. I have enough general UN markings to get by.
I was looking for photos to see if the Danish Leo’s had the grouser rack on the glacis plate, and came across this tale… the Danes were actually the first folks to use a Leo in anger… in Bosnia….
All the pics I have of them show a couple of extra road wheels on the glacis, but they’re also tanks with a dozer blade mounted. I don’tknow if that’s significant or not. I’ll be adding the road wheels soon.
That’s a good read. And also, maybe my next one will have a blade. It seems to be common.
It looks pretty good in white. I remember doing a white Leclerc many years ago and I thought it was weird too!
I have the Leclerc in line, plan to do it in white too. I’ve seen a couple of good build articles on the Tamiya kit and it looks fun.
If you intend to detail the Leclerc I can help.

Olivier, I’d like to do some corrections but not re-do the whole thing. I think I saved the link to your list of tweaks, but if not, I’ll certainly look again. I do have the Echelon decals which have you credited as a consultant.
Along the lines of UN stuff, I put some “generic” UN logos on and since I can’t find the decal sheet Echelon did for Danish Leos, I’m going to move along best possible, otherwise I’ll never finish. I should be able to scare some registration numbers tomorrow.

I really didn’t have a clear idea of how I wanted to proceed with weathering, so when in doubt, wash.
I used Vallejo Games wash, straight black, removing most if then and then going back with the same and doing a careful pin wash. Dirt and dust to follow.
