I’m in the proces of attaching the vinyl tubes to the back of the Trumpeter Patriot containers, but the vinyl tubes are not soften enough.
Does anyone has a suggestion how to soften them so I can slip them over the attaching points ?
I tried a hairblower, but the time of softening them and attaching them is too short.
Since their are two ends to soften they become rigid again too fast.
But thanks anyway for your suggestion !
Cut off the molded pins and drill out holes in their place. Use short sections of wire (brass, copper or steel) in the ends of the vinyl tube and insert these into the holes.
In other words, reverse the attachment method so that the tubing plugs into the molded parts rather than plugging the molded parts into the tubes.
The whole 12 man ODA and a case of beer. One GB changes the bulb while the other eleven reminisce about how tough Light Bulb Changing School used to be back in the day - with a beer in each hand, including the guy changing the bulb. (It can be done - I’ve turned a wrench with a beer bottle in my hand.)
