Some variants of the Sherman Firefly

Hi, these are some 1/72 scale Sherman Firefly tank models I recently completed. I used model kits and parts from several different brands, including Heller’s M4 Sherman Normandy kit, a 3D-printed turret from Huoxing Wolun, and Xingchuan Studio’s high-quality resin Sherman Firefly VC model. They are all excellent, especially since Dragon’s Firefly kits are out of production.

Not a 1/72 guy but I must say those Fireflies look terrific. Very nice weathering as well.:+1::+1:

Where do you keep getting all your Fireflies from…did you buy the molds from Dragon?

I wish I could buy Dragon’s Firefly molds too, but sadly Dragon already went and sold itself to ZIMI… haha. The two up top are one from Heller and one from a local resin kit brand, Xingchuan Studio. The Heller one—I kitted it out with some 3D-printed parts that set a Firefly apart from a regular M4, including a different turret, the armor plate at the hull machine gun position, the gun travel lock, and so on.

What accessory set did you use for brush guards, etc. I initially thought they were PE, but they definitely don’t look flat. I also have several Dragon Shermans, and Fireflies, and now a Meng. They would all benefit from some brass!

From Dragon 7322 Sherman IC Firefly.

Thanks, but that’s an expensive source for PE! :scream:
