I’ll be building my USS Indianapolis soon and have plans to build my uss england soon as well. I am trying to track down 1/350 oerlikon to replace the kit parts as with them being small the plastic detail isn’t great.
The Indy gets 10 sets of twin cannons and the England 8 singles
Would also want 6xquad 40 mm bofors and a quad 1.1”

I found black cat models and they seem to have waht I need except the oerlikon have hollow instead of solid bases and I can’t seem to figure out which is correct
can you scratchbuild something?
Could probably use the black cat tops and kit basses

If your looking for photo etch - the is Big Boy Blue, Infini Models, or Master Models
In the end it might be best with a combination between the options.

Perfect thanks for some names I can look into. This is a rookie question but what’s the difference between the hollow base and solid base oerlikons. Possibly in name or period, just so I can do some research on what’s appropriate for my builds

I’d go with Micro master and it isn’t too expensive.
