Jim Kinnear is one of the best English authors on Soviet/Russian subjects and there should be no hesitation in buying any of his books.
I just finished reading this and it is well done, with lots of excellent photos. Unusually though, I did find the text convoluted in some areas, and the same information repeated multiple times within a chapter or section. The first time I can say this about a book written by him, but nonetheless, still very much worth purchasing.

When it was announced here a couple of weeks ago, I’ve immediately pre-ordered it. Sadly it’s been postponed from end of June to September.
Not sure where you are located, but I know here it’s been released and from Amazon or Osprey direct the shipping is free and the price is the same.
Hi Jon, I’ve per-ordered it on Amazon, but I’ll cancel that. I’ve found another bookstore, here in Germany, where it’s available.
I’ve looked at the Osprey website, and strangely no EU countries are in the dropdown list for delivery.
