Yeah, I found them as well. I’ve checked Facebook as well but couldn’t seem to find Sarmat as such, and again, the Cyrillic alphabet defeated me.
I would agree. MOPP level 4 in the high desert is no fun either, no matter the length of time.
Several years back, somebody did those guys in a zombie diorama that was for sale at Brookhurst Hobbies
All good stuff; I suppose what I’m keen to do - as part of my ongoing Cold War theme is to exemplify the Soviet Forces’ willingness to wage nuclear war. Apart form that, say, a BTR or BMP would just look so cool on the display tables with a crew thus attired!
I do like it. But, IIRC, with their NBC over pressure systems, weren’t they supposed to be buttoned up in that type environment? And aside from during road march movements, unlike with NATO armies, wasn’t Soviet/Warsaw Pact battle drill to button up when entering battle formations?
hmmm … Bare hands kinda defeats the NBC protection,no?
Again, Evil-bay. 48ers in Cyprus might be an option. Plastic Model Store in Ukraine. Several other vendors in Ukraine Czech Republic,Poland, Baltics post on Ebay might be able to help.
I believe that figure is one of several from Evolution that takes inspiration from a video game series called ‘Stalker’ that is set in an alternate reality version of the Chernobyl Exclusion Zone. I don’t think it’s meant to depict a proper NBC situation- hence the lack of gloves.
Perhaps @fromSalekhard can help if Sarmat is a Russian company?
Or low desert. Least high desert is cool in winter. We get sub freezing/ snow here. (lows a NAS Fallon s’poseta be 58/59 F (14-15C) this week)
ICM has a couple Chernobyl sets. Might have something useable.Masterbox has some zombie/apocalypses figures.
Thanks Karl; for once I actually managed to spark and have sent a PM to Yuri.
This is really the easiest way and I have already answered.
For the rest, for information about this company.
The SARMAT Resin company still exists and is active. So much so that they themselves write: “We are often shouted from the audience “Don’t cook the pot!”.
To this we just smile, straighten the pile and ANNOUNCEMENT a new set of figures…”.
They really do not have a website in the generally accepted sense, but they do have a page on the Russian social network VKontakte.
Their products, as well as products of other Russian companies, are available for purchase outside of Russia in the Unomag online store.
I have repeatedly indicated this store on the forum pages (because there is no other one officially trading with foreign countries). I know that some people managed to buy goods there. I myself have bought several times. In any case, you can contact the store and ask.
You can find a million colors and shades of OZK at this link:
The shown Sarmat-figure in MOPP-suit does not come up in a search on the site. Shame really.
The translationfunction to English does not seem to work either.
Thanks Yuri- good to know you can get their figs on that website- they have an interesting range available.
