A buddy gave it to me and I think its from Takom. A bit too green but i couldnt get the blue green color down.

Isn’t that the figure that comes with the “Projekt 279” tank kit from 2013?

And I agree; the suit is too Olive Greenish.

Should be a more sea foamish.

Damn! I would kill for one of those figures; I just don’t want to have to purchase the 279.

I also recall (just) that the colours were even brighter when new. There were a couple in display cabinets when I once visited what was then the NBC Centre at Winterbourne Gunner (UK).

Thought I saw the figure … or a cheap chinese copy on Evil-bay. Also might look up1/35 apocalypses. Might find something close

Thanks Timothy; I’ve got half a dozen of these (which I’ll still have to convert to the correct respirator) with a plan to stuff them into a BTR 50.:

I was just hankering after a couple of supplementary figures to display outside the vehicle.

I’ll keep a close watch on eBay.

In a moment of idle Googling, I discovered this figure (amongst others):

which is just the job.

Does anyone know of any stockists anywhere? Further Googling produced lots of info in Cyrillic script so I suspect from Russia only.

Can anyone help? These figures would be a great help to some of my more involved Cold War themes.

A bunch of those would go really well with my T-72…

Yes they would Ron - but how to get hold of them?

I would love to pose a squad next to my BTR-152K.

Looking good Dan.

You could try a wash/filter to change the hue a little.

Yes, thats the kit. I looked at AK’S APC interior green after I painted it…

Almost looks as if the original plastic colour was pretty close.
A bath in overcleaner no option?

No, its done. I don’t think the color is that bad.

You can always blame it on this one:

I think like anything mass produced by different factories with different bathes, there will be variations. His color probably fits one of those.

Soooo, does anyone know anything about SARMAT Resin in 1/35?

I don’t but BNA has some figures and I-Modelist does as well but neither have that figure. Maybe eBay does.

I don’t know if this helps but I saw Sarmat Resin figures available from BNA model world , but I didn’t look to see if they carry the NBC guys. Also I- Modelist.com shows them and a Russian website it seems which was in Russian so I couldn’t read it, and Miniset.net I found as well carries a two figure Czech Infantry set 1963-1985. I don’t know how legit these other sites are, but BNA is excellent.

Thanks Ryan; I’ve scoured eBay, and have sent an email to BNA Modelworld, as they appear to stock some figures by Sarmat; my only hope is that they do have an avenue of supply. The figure - or rather around a dozen of them - is just want I want! I mean nothing exemplifies the Cold War (in the Central Region that is) like NBC suits - or is that just me - who seemed to spend every last exercise in the bloody things for days on end?

Sarmat Resin seems to make ww2 and modern Soviet tankers, and an East German soldier from the 60s, and interestingly a Soviet tank crewman from 1928-1935, besides the Czech guy I mentioned above.
