Building Spalah 1/35 M777A2 howitzer
Great to see a build review of this one. Thanks Carlos!

Excellent build. Detail looks incredible!
I have Spallahs MT-12 and can’t wait to start it. I’m sure I’ll break something….
Nice. It looks really good. I have their M119A2 and can’t wait to see how it looks after seeing their M777.
I just finished building mine as well and I concur with your comments. It’s a really nice build and comes out looking fantastic. Here’s mine (some parts have been left off as I’m going to Canadianize it)
Beautiful looking model and a great review. On freeing the parts from their bases; I’ve had some success using a small heat-gun (blower) to warm the supports - away from the actual part. I find the part usually releases easily after warming.
Thanks for the tip, sounds quite useful. Unfortunately I do not have a heat-gun, do you think an ordinary hair dryer would work? Any precautions to be taken?
If the supports come to a very fine point at the attachment point, you can use warm water. I wash all of my 3D printed parts in warm water and dish soap. Many of the parts will separate with a twist as I remove them from the wash.
I bit the bullet and bought a GodHand resin nipper a few years ago for the heavy supports. It is a dual blade cutter with hardened blades. It works great.

A hairdryer on low speed will work too. If you can narrow the nozzle to limit the width of air coming out (some have attachments for this) that would help you. Keep the heat away from the actual piece and any other pieces near it, I.e. concentrate the air on the support structure around it. I’ve used warm water in the past but found the warm air method to be quicker and less of a clean up after. Plus the “piece you release” will be dry and ready to use.
