Wow, Mario, those figures look awesome! The tiny airbrush work on the Live-Resin camouflaged guns really paid off.
I heard of modelers using Humbrols. I thought that Humbrols’ color choices were a bit constrained in variety of colors.

I still like working with Humbrols and never learned to do brushwork with acrylics. I guess I’m an old dinosaur… but I like mixing colors to get the tone I want.

4 years later I came back to this project. Here’s the groundwork in its base colors. I have no idea how to paint those large rocks.

Venko, didn’t you do a similar scene with rocks from Afghanistan? I think it UAZ and Spetsnaz figures Is it finished?

Working on the ground now, I was thinking of dry brushing the rocks on the cliff, so that’s why I suggested it. Also you can pick the smaller stones with different colors for variation. I will post progress soon.

I did a similar vignette a while back with the Magic Factory MRZR. I used woodland scenics moulds for the rocks and painted them by wet blending the paint; mainly panzer aces old wood, light mud, and AK grey brown.
(No idea what happened to my original account, had to re-create this one)

I know your MRZR vignette, in fact I saved the images for my own references when doing Afghan rocky terrain. Great stuff!
