Starting this Spitfire I had in the stash for a long time, hoping for easy summer relaxing build. Out of the box with some minimal aftermarket from Eduard and a pilot from Aires. Probably will design and print weighted wheels also.
I chose the machine of Stanislav Skalski from the North African theatre.

I designed 5-spoke wheels with smooth tire (weighted), hopefully will look better than the plastic ones 
Wheels look good. Following.
Starting with the cockpit, Gunze C-364 RAF interior green with aluminium and flat black for the details.
Meanwhile painting the wheels with AK markers. I really like them, useful for quick painting some of the parts and details, no primer needed:
I also designed and printed new seat, because the original is assembled with multiple parts and didn’t fit well in the cockpit. I also added texture with MagicSculpt for the back pads (whatever is called ) of the seat.

I forgot to take pictures before closing the fuselage halves, but nothing interesting 
The fit is good overall, only the dashboard was problematic, I had to sand it a bit for the cockpit to fit.
Taking shape, fit is good with some dry fit adjustments, because there a lot of multi-part assemblies. I will use the resin top cowl from Eduard, which fits nicely and is one part.
