Spitfire!

Nice work, Bert!

I’m leaning towards the blue and brown camo on my IAF Spitfire since I have the AK paint set with those colors in it, but Ezer Weizman’s black Spit is a hard one to pass up!

It does look cool…I saw it a few times when I was trying to decide on which Spit I was going to build … Sure I’ve seen a black Hurricane as well…

That would look great, nr 57 and 8, one in black and one in silver, both with that red lightning… :+1:

Good save … looks really nice with clean cam lines :+1:

I am returning to my crushed Matchbox Spitfire kit. It is coming together, but still not sure it will get to an acceptable level for painting and finishing.

Here is where it is so far :slightly_smiling_face:

Thanks for the encouragement, guys! Fixing a few problems at a time. Then a lot of waiting time for glue to set.

More to follow :slightly_smiling_face:

Luckily they’re those big ol’ Matchbox panel lines. That will help with all the sanding you’ll have to do. Sigh.

Although I have 2 other projects in progress I decided to crack the box on my entry for this campaign… Otherwise I might never finish in time…

Nice choice … and its a biggy … be good watching this get built up Erwin :+1:

That is a really nice kit. I built it in April this year. Goes together really well. Just watch when you do the pipes that go around the engine. Easily scraped.
Good choice tho

Thanks fellas. This is my 3rd 1:24 scale kit, so I might call myself kinda experienced…

@Bomber14 Did you ever find a new canopy? Otherwise I will go hunting in my stash to see if I have a spare one.
