the medal is a reward for completing the campaign and something to strive for, like a goal, a sense of accomplishment. plus it is fun to collect them and see over time how many you completed. i like the idea of getting something for finishing, otherwise you don’t have an excuse to finish and the uncompleted pile up on the shelf.

My apologies to everyone, “real” life has been kicking my butt lately.
I have no issues at all with getting an award in place and will happily tot up those who completed the campaign and get the award sent off to the powers that be, but I’m not up on the design process. I like Mark’s effort a lot. Does everyone else agree?

OK, taking a swing at this. Would you all like to stick with just the design Mark made, or would you like it to look like a medal, such as the templates Jim put together do:
(Note the purple and white stripes. RAF DFC, for those who don’t know).

I like the ribbon …we have Marks original great design, but I think adding the ribbon in DFC colours is nice kick back to it’s RAF baptism of fire…
