Started on an On30 Motorcar

Here is my digital plan* for what I envision. Kit-bashing a shortened Bachmann Coach with a B’mann Combine.

*I don’t use Photoshop anymore since Adobe has moved to a monthly subscription fee. I have for many years now been very happily using a free and downloadable program called GIMP. Gimp is every bit as powerful and useful as PS but at zero cost. Available for both Mac and PC.

My initial chop-shop work with my trusty jeweler’s saw with a fine tooth blade:

I cannot cut the forward portion of the roof at this time as I don’t know exactly how the driver’s compartment will work out, length wise.

I happened to be using the observation version of the Bachmann coach. As to the interior seating; removing the observation area seating and one row of the regular seating is all it took to fit the shortened passenger seating section while still allowing the inclusion on the heating stove and the privy.

Cool project Mike. Amazing what a little paint does for the interior! What do you plan to power this critter with?

My first thought is a Mantua/Tyco Plymouth Diesel mechanism but i might have to go thhe high dollar route with some sort of “spud or critter” mechanism

Any suggestions for powering this Motorcar?

I don’t know your price point or how you’ll be using the model but NWSL’s Stanton Drives are self contained and work well.
