Stryker in Afghanistan questions

I found some photos of Strykers in Afghanistan without the slat armor but they have the side hull spaced armor plates and upper hull blast shields. I have the Eduard side hull spaced armor plates and upper hull blast shield sets that I will use on my build.

These two photos below show the camo netting on Strykers without the slat armor. First question is, does anyone have closeups of the attachment points for the metal wires for the camo netting? The wires look like they are attached to the inside of the top of the blast shields but I don’t have any reference photos of where or how they are attached. Would anyone have any detailed photos showing the attachments? Second question, the first Stryker below shows the SATCOM antenna mounted to the left side of the hull. Does anyone know exactly where and how it is mounted?

In these photos with the slat armor, the wires for the camo netting look like they are attached to the top of the slat armor. I am looking for photos of how the wires are attached without the slat armor.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Only clear picture I found is for stryker with slat armor.

You can see the mounting bracket of the camo net pipe frame. Thanks to the misalignment of one of them you can see its shape.

I’ll look later. Someone (I can’t remember who) designed the upper armor plates based on photos I sent him. Maybe they show the attachment points. If not, my bet is the unit welder welded some small lengths of inch pipe at an angle to insert the rods into.

Edit: I would have thought the pockets were on the inside edge near the top.

Still looking…

Found it!

It looks like a clamp that attaches to the slat and is secured with a couple of tension bolts. That clamp could easily slide onto the top of the armor plate as well. That would jive with your top photo.

Oh! There’s more! I’d definitely put these on the top of the armor.

Thanks for the photo showing the clamps.

Thanks! Great photos and that last one shows the clamp perfectly. Not sure I am skilled enough to make those clamps but will try my best.

These are the Eduard product photos for the blast shields.

One more question, does anyone have any better photos/closeups of the DUKE mount on the front of the Stryker?
