Stryker M1126 ICV Slat Armor kit review

Black Ops Models released a 3D printed / cast resin detail set for the AFV Club Stryker Infantry Carrier Vehicle M1126. The kit was released on December 2024 and is available only from the Black Ops Models website.

I did a first look and full build review of the Black Ops Models slat armor kit.

The full build review can be found on the Black Ops Models site and also on the AMPS home page. The full build review proivdes helpful build tips to integrate the slat armor into the AFV Club instructions.

Cheers to all

I also have this set and can vouch that it is a great set. It is very comprehensive, and the SLAT is engineered in a way that will make it easy to install. I highly recommend the set.

Any idea if this would fit the MGS or other versions of Strykers?

The MGS slat armor is different, it curves outwards on both sides of the hull.

Yeah I was afraid of that

MGS SLAT is 1" wide to cut weight and all others was 2" IIRC.

Edited: thick to wide

I just ordered another slat armor set that I will try to fit to the AFV Club M1130 Command Vehicle (CV). Will let the group knows how that fits - it should be OK.

Welcome to the forum, Mike.
I have the Pro Art Models PE set for the slat armor. Probably closer to scale thickness judging by the photos, but not easy to do. The 3D set will definitely be a boon for those who don’t care for PE.

Most of the PE sets are so thin that they kink and bend really easily. Pro Arts is the most resilient of the bunch,. but it’s still a giant pain.
