Does anyone know when concrete armour was first applied to StuG IIIs?

I was going to chime in that the earliest Stug I’d seen concrete armor on, was an Ausf. F with the long-barreled 7,5cm cannon, but then I checked online and immediately found a picture of a short-barreled C/D variant with concrete armor. This photo is from Panzer Tracts No.8, found on tanks-encyclopedia.
Since concrete armor was always a field modification, it’s pretty difficult to give a definite date, but I think the practice started somewhere around mid-1942. Just my educated guess based on staring at photos available online.
