Seeking info on Svenska Flygvapnet J-26s. I know they received aircraft from US stock in Europe. F-16 (Upsala) initially repainted theirs 325H/ 058H (Olive Green/Blue Grey) , other than that any mods? (I did hear mention of a “luggage rack” under the canopy, over the radio.) I presume , being ex US, the cockpits were standard interior green / black from the bottom of the instrument panel, up and prop would have been the usual cuffed Hamiltons. Specific aircraft I am curious about is 26031, “Blå Niklas”. Would like to know her US serial to see if she was an Inglewood or Dallas build.(Dallas hood would add a little variety.
Merci ,beaucoup. Using that info was able pull this up from Joe Baugher’s site. “44-72220 (MSN 122-38679) Delivered to the USAAF Jan45. Eighth Air Force, England. 1409th Base Unit,European Division, Air Transport Command, Metfield (Station 366), Suffolk.

NA . Just need the figure out the “luggage rack” thingy. (Sounds like it was an NAA thing. Allegedly some US ones were seen with them. Looks like it would be big enough for spare socks and skivvies for a multi day ferry flight. Kind of like a modern luggage pod for an airshow trip.
