I don’t know much about the kit as I don’t do much WWII German armor currently, but if it’s any good, then this deal strikes me as a right good deal - free shipping for first time buyers.
Maybe; if they hit you with any additional fees over $12 it will end up no cheaper than eBay. However, reviews of the Tiger they released prior to this kit makes it possibly good for a beginner but some of the tools might be molded on and other issues mean if you want more/better detail this is not the kit.
it has been discussed here earlier…the issue (and reason for such a price) is the “name” of the kit…a typo reduced its cost, as you’ll pay that price for “PanZher AusT G”… good price is also offered for Bltz Panther G, around 30$…
As I said, I know nothing about it, but I received an email last night in which this was one of the offerings. Beginners need inexpensive models just in case…well, things don’t go right. However, even as an average builder, I wouldn’t let molded on tools be an issue. I know you can build a show stopper from the “dreadful” Tamiya Centurions.
That is a really good deal but the deciding factor that would tip me into buying it would be the free postage.
For those of us south of the equator the shipping costs generally are far greater than the kit cost. This means a special deal from Andy’s HHQ for example, once shipping is factored in, is the same cost as buying it locally or it tips it into just not being worth it.
This though is great.
They hook you with a really great deal as a first time buyer. But of course, you can always create multiple accounts.![]()
Even after that, you can still get some smoking deals. I have regulars that I used to give me extremely good deals on multiples.
I bought this kit elsewhere. IMO, it has much better detail than the Takom Blitz kit but the downside is that the tracks are no better. Same design as Takom. Other details are better including the tools. Added a second kit to the stash after seeing this in person.
On the plus side, it does come with the full night fighting options. Kit is Tamiya like with the molding.
Hope this helps.
