Test fit of Legend Production Fitter crane on my Kranpanzer 63 build.
I wonder if there is any stand-alone M113 Diesel engine?
Great job with the crane. Winding the cable is always a pain but gives so much realism to the model.

The Academy M113A2/A3 kit has a diesel engine that shouldn’t be too hard to add an underside to, so you can display it outside of the engine compartment.
Thanks Jakko!
I did the similar a while back with the Academy IDF Fitter M113. I added an oil pan to the Academy engine and it was pretty much complete. I placed the engine in the back of the M113 on blocks and strapped down.
I am thinking of opening up the engine compartment of one M113 and put the Kranpanzer 63 next to it.
In that case you kind of need the Academy kit, as it includes the A2 version of the engine compartment, with not only the diesel engine but also the rearranged radiators compared to the M113 and -A1.
I found some parts of the Academy engine and made a test build. I think it could be build as decent kit in the kit.
Made some progress n my Geniepanzer 63. But to be honest, I getting tired of the kit. This will be the last kit of FC Modeltrend for me.
