Swiss Schützenpanzer 63/73 (Spz 63/73)

Good afternoon Gentlemen

Here is my latest ‘Cold War Warrior’, this time a Swiss Schützenpanzer 63/73 (Spz 63/73), the local M113 variant with a Swedish Hägglunds turret with 20 mm cannon (these were taken from decommissioned ‘Vampire’ and/or ‘Venom’ jets). It is the Tamiya M113 with the resin conversion kit from MR Modellbau, but without additional armour etc. (this would make it a Spz 63/89, a later modification of the original M113) as well as some parts from the spare box and a few self-created items such as the box for the “Minenschnellsperre” (as far as I know, a few mines tied together with a rope) at the rear etc.

I hope you like it …

Best greetings from Switzerland

Roger

Well, I do like it - very much! Fantastic little model, and a shining example of the modeller’s art.

keep up the good work; we could do with seeing more(!)

Salü Roger,
a great model you have. I have the MR Modellbau kit on stash for a Schützenpanzer 63/89 build. I been to Armeetage 1998 at Frauenfeld and did a lot of pics of the track and many others on display there. I like the Swiss understanding of their army. One of my favorites is the Panzerhaubitze M109 KAWEST.
