I plan on adding some camo netting to the tank.

Nice! I just got my Mk 10, but won’t be starting it just yet. Will be keen to watch your progress since i think they’re 90% identical builds, if not more

NIce start AJ. Will be tagging along for this build.

The main external difference Ian @ianscott is just on the turret detail really. Loss of the Searchlight housing on the LH side and in its place the TISH/TOGs set up and the different layout for the stowage baskets/bins.

Excellent choice to build, I’ll be following too.

I’m at the point where it says to do the tracks then attach the hull so normally don’t do the but this time I want to add some mud to the tank, Im not sure what to do

I went ahead and started assembling the track. I thought it was going to be like the Conqueror I built, but they threw a sneaky sneak in there with the track pads you have to glue on. Having liquid cement and building the tracks in sections helps form the track around the running gear.

I really have to say this kit is AFV Club quality and ease of building. You could almost throw some glue, paint, and a knife blade in the box and come out with a finished kit.

Building up very nicely AJ… Looking good :+1:

I found that with the upper hull and rear bulkhead glued in place, along with the side armour, the join between that and the lower hull and running gear is good enough to keep them separate, which will make painting and weathering much simpler.

This pics hopefully shows what I mean;

What did you paint the tracks with? @iwatajim

Lower Hull is all complete ready for priming and painting.

I used Tamiya red brown, and rubber black, then weathered with flory acrylic dark wash.

Archived build here, completely different scheme but some details may help;

Painted hull and tracks. The turret is next, and camo.

Now I gotta ready for a ball game.

Two steps left before priming and painting the turret.

Then I’ll add the black camo pattern.

All green, then camo!

Looking nice AJ… One thing I missed earlier… The turret ABA is in the wrong place. You have put it on the flashing light mount. The ABA needs to go over the small open hole slightly to the left ok .

@Johnnych01 Fixed!

And I don’t even know what that is!

The Antenna Base Assembly

What you insert the antenna into . You can have a 2 or 3 ABA fit out depending on what type of call sign your tank was.

This is an early clansman one.

and a late type for anyone interested,

And the current Bowman ABA
