New kit of the Artic/Antartic Expedition Vehicle based on the M29 Weasel
This one belonged to the Australian National Antarctic Research Expedition :
A U.S. Navy (?) one in Antarctica
Another one in Greenland, fitted with a radiometer crevasse detector mounted on top

Might have to buy one to go along with my NeOmega Tucker Sno-Cat!
U.S. Navy Weasel with crevasse detector in Antarctica 1958 :
Roy Crane’s Buz Sawyer comic strip (Monday, February 16, 1959) :

Operation Deep Freeze I - 1955 / 1956 - USA Task Force 43
Men of the US Army Polar Research and Development Center setting up communications at the temporary camp used during the construction of Camp Century, an Arctic United States military scientific research base in Greenland, June 1959

Darn I never thought they would produce a kit of that. I have kit of military version in ‘one day’ pile along an Australian model magazine article complete with scale drawings for two Aussie versions.
Definitely want one of these.

I love it! Well done, Takom!
GDR had it´s own South Pole expedition, using Soviet tractors. Should I feel tempted…?
Now we just need it in 1/48th so we can pose beside ski Auster, Beaver and C47
CMK has the base kit in 1/48 scale.

Brilliant I wasn’t aware of that kit. I will order one. Thanks.
There is some interesting info on Antarctic Weasels at Search and Rescue Weasel - Colour scheme - MLU FORUM
1/48 kit is on its way to me. With Dora Wings 1/48th Beaver due out soon and sseveral proposed icy colour schemes …
1/48th kit arrived. Nice kit but its tiny,
The 1/35 kit is about the size of Willys Jeep so that makes sense to me that 1/48 is tiny.
Agreed
