Hi again,
Here’s another one that I started last year.
A great kit from Takom, much, much easier to work on than Miniart’s, I will go for one of the many markings , Afghan version.
Hi again,

Yes, the MiniArt kits are not for the faint hearted but do build up nicely if you have the patience for all the fiddly bits. The Takom kit is a much easier build. Yours is looking good.
Nice work - always good to see some more Cold War era models.
I did the interior version, they pack a ton of detail inside. The only issue I had with the kit where that the roadwheel pins were a bit on the short side. but could’ve been a skill issue.
I had the same issue with Miniart T-44, the roadwheel pins were a nightmare to work with.
I’m guessing the T-54 and T-55 have the same problems.
I had built the T-44M, I noticed that the road wheels were not properly aligned to the sprocket and, after looking on photos what was the right gap between the tracks and hull sides, had to shorten the hub of the road wheels. I don’t remember if I had to make a spacer to move outside the sprockets and front wheels too.
If one builds as it is, it will be impossible to align the tracks.
Added small search light, Dskh, more weathering, some pigments.
And that’s it. This one is finished !!!
Highly recommend this Takom kit, easy to build, very detailed, lots of markings.
Nicely done. Great job one the weathering.
