Takom's New Super Blitz Armor Kits are coming

Takom’s New Super Blitz Armor Kits

If they build more and it’s fun, Takom’s betting we’ll buy more. Sounds reasonable enough

I do like the concept

I’ll issue my opinion when I see those kits.
Borrowing a phrase from some TV-series:

Unless you utilize some really wazoo casting techniques, (expensive) reducing the number of parts means reduced detail. Think solidly cast grab handles on older Tamiya kits. Since you end up shsaving them off and replacing them anyway, how about leaving them off to begin with? Leave it up to the modeler to add them. Athearn has done this for decades on their locomotives. There are tiny divots to show you where to drill you holes for grab irons. Plastic handles are generally difficult to clean up, especially when they decide to put the sprue gate right in the middle of the part.

And here’s a discussion I just got done having - save money on tires and wheels by not cutting molds for them. Pay some high school kid to 3D design them. He’ll appreciate the gas money, and you can include highly detailed 3D printed parts in the kits. Parts that many of us replace with expensive resin anyway. Period, No S.

So they are moving into Tamiya’s space or are they going simpler?

Accurate, easy, and fast would be great. I like Takom models and hope they succeed.
