When I bought this kit a short while ago I assumed it was a relatively recent release - turns out it is circa 1990 ( according to Scalemates)
Molds a little tired - more flash and mold shift than I am used to seeing with Tamiya but still a nice kit .
I am a little jaded because I built their RC 166 kit with all the aftermarket accessories a while ago and it is a fabulous kit . It is also my all time favorite motorcycle.
Only when I was finishing up the decals did I realize that Tamiya supplied the numerals and some others to allow you the option to do the red and blue fields in paint rather than use the large decals . Getting the decals to conform was difficult and were I to do it again I would have taken the paint option.
20/20 hindsight.
