I recently acquired a Tamiya 1/35 Kampfpanzer Leopard 1, I will start working on it when I have time.
I’ll put updates here.
I want to start with a question: there are these holes on the bottom of the chassis, and I don’t know how to fill them in. I don’t have any model putty, nor can I get any right now.

Not a problem. Do you want the holes covered from the topside view or the bottom side view? If you just want the holes blocked you can use an index card and cut it to fit as a floor to the bottom of the hull. If you want the holes filled, you can take the index card and cut and place it as a floor inside the hull then using a sharp pencil, trace the opening and then cut out the shapes. now you can trace the cutouts onto a piece of plastic. Cut out the plastic and glue it into the appropriate hole. Now it is filled. You will still need to get some type of putty or filler to apply to the seams and sand smooth.
if you are having issues finding or ordering modeling putty, try this
This is a putty that many members of the forums use and you can get it at Home Depot, Auto zone and many more places. It comes highly rated as easy to use.

those are the motorization holes typical of early Tamiya Kits. I just sand the markings on the outside and glue a .020 sheet of styrene to plug those holes. done and done.

Looking great. Nice tight build there.

Keep at it! That’s the first 1:35 model I cut my teeth on.
