Hi everyone! Just finished painting my Tamiya 1/35 Panther Type G (kit #35176) and wanted to share the build here.
This one was all about the ambush camouflage — freehand dots with a brush over a three-color base. Definitely the most challenging paint job I’ve tackled so far, but really enjoyed the process.
Colors used:
- Base: Tamiya XF-60 Dark Yellow + XF-57 Buff (7:3)
- Green: XF-58 Olive Green + XF-62 Flat Black + XF-18 Medium Blue (6:3:1)
- Brown: XF-64 Red Brown + XF-9 Hull Red (7:3)
Weathering:
- Panel line wash with AK045 Dark Brown Wash + AK046 Light Rust
- Sponge chipping with Buff
- Pigments fixed with enamel thinner
- Dotting with AMMO Oilbrusher
