TAMIYA 1:48 German V1 Rocket "Buzz Bomb"

Hi all,
Since this thing flies, I guess this is the place to post it.
Tamiya 1:48 scale V1 Rocket “Buzz Bomb”… straight forward OOB build.
It was quite a simple build and an exercise in brush painting.
The crosses on the upper wings were added for visual interest, I have not
seen any historical photos of this yet.
Painted with Tamiya acrylics,W&N oils for panel lines and a slight dusting of pastel chalk.
Hope you like it,

Nicely done. This kit is one of the few flying things in my stash and after seeing it done, it might see the light of day soon.

Thank you! for your kind comment.
Cheers,

You have been very buzzzzzzzy, Sir. Very nice work!

I doubt that you will; the Germans considered V-1s to be munitions rather than aircraft, and there were standing orders not to display national markings on such unmanned weapons - but to heck with that, I like your treatment!

Thank you! Mike for your kind comment.
Cheers,

Tim, that is what I figured…THANKS for the extra info.
Cheers,

Joe, I like it! :slightly_smiling_face: crosses and all :hugs:

Thanks Russell for looking in and kind comment. It may not be historically correct,
but it adds visual interest for sure.
It is temporally mounted on it original dolly supplied by Tamiya but am considering
scratchbuilding a partial launch ramp to display it on.
Cheers,

Nice build.

The crosses look a bit out of place, but I like your artistic license. I sometimes also use some artistic license to go for cool over historically accurate. After all it is all about having fun

Thanks for sharing

Thanks for looking in and comments,
Have a great day!
