My LHS have got in on sale for £15 plus postage, which doesn’t seem a bad price.

It looks like a good kit. I have the Dragon /DML kit. I like the DML better just because of the figures. German Paratroopers in Winter gear.
It would be nice if Tamiya made different releases of this with different crews. DAK maybe?

I picked one up from Squadron at the IPMS/USA Nationals. What a surprise to see a tower of them when I rounded the corner into the booth! I was of course looking for the M36, but gladly got both. It’s a beautiful little kit. A great weekend build (not counting figure painting), maybe could knock it out in a Saturday.

I’ll take it off your hands as I’m sure you dont have room for it! Haha

I wish they would do para troops with it. Did they use this gun in Crete invasion?

Or a DAK crew.

That would mean they would have to include at least 3 different kind of crew for every taste. That would be undoable for a manufacturer…

This is a sweet little model just the way it is and the figures are beautiful. Nothing personal against anybody but just once I’d like to see a kit released without people jumping on it with “I wish they had…” or “They should have…”. Be happy with what you get and just build the damn thing. Eveyone has personal favorites but don’t expect a manufacturer to cater to them.

I dont think so as most of the troops were paratroopers.

Not a lot of armour on the island to contend with either. I’ve seen photos of Vickers light tanks, but that’s all.
I’ll check a couple of books when I get in.

But, yes a very welcome little gun by Tamiya. Hoping for a DAK boxing with appropriate crew in the future.

There were matildas as well.

Interesting. I need to delve into it a little more. Holidayed on Crete quite a lot over the last few years so trying to learn a lot more about the battle. I’ve only come across a few photos of the Vickers (usually knocked out), so interesting to see others. Wouldn’t be surprised if a few old Cruisers weren’t around.
I know of the Malta Matilda’s in the stone-wall cammo.

It sounds like you really are having buyers remorse and would like to get rid of it. :grinning_face_with_smiling_eyes:

Squadron is now showing this in stock for $19.99 US.

As I type this, 24 in stock. I am going to go out on a limb and predict the people at Squadron did not order enough. :slightly_smiling_face:

Squadron had about 300 of them at the IPMS Nats. $20. They sold like hotcakes. Everyone picked one up. I’m sure they have more on the way.
