An unfinished kit almost 4 decades ago where the front part of the hull cover melted during shipping. My father’s friend graciously added the small tamiya cement (orange capped) Inside the box and mailed it to us from Japan. But when we received the kit, the bottle was broken and the cement melted the front part of the hull cover.
After 20 years. I bought a Mini hobby LVTP7-A1 to replace the damaged part. There was a bit of difference in angles of the cover for the mini-hobby to fit the Tamiya hull. So, I cut both and attached the Mini hobby front part to the Tamiya rear part.
Added the missing details that Vodnik explained in his site starting with the details in front of the drivers hatch.

Removed the molded on handle and added holes for the handle that came from the mini-hobby sprue.
The missing welded pieces of anti-slip missing from Tamiya were copied from the Hobbyboss using 0.3mm sheet cut into shape.
I used the mini-hobby weapon station copula and the hinges were closed with thin plasticard and replaced the rod since the molded ones are not alligned. Added cover too on the hinge.

Forgot to add the anti-slip details, so here we go again 
Started with sanding the paint off the covers
Found this unique pattern with just 5 metal strips
And the result…
Spare clear parts from hobbyboss were used as covers for the holes in copula.
Started by cutting it in the center line where it leans.
With the covers in place, the periscope is covered with the thin plastic border from Tamiya M151a1 cut into size.
Glued with white glue that turned clear when dried 
Painted the borders of the clear periscope cover and added high-tech periscope from underneath the copula with clear laminate film.
The laminate film used were painted with blue to purple color shifting paint from underneath and covered with silver then black (I usually use in Stryker variants). Much like this one but this one is just clear blue then silver covered with black
These 2mm strips were cut into 5mm length and used as bulletproof viewports for the driver and commander hatches.
Then, 0.3mm were cut to size for the handles on the hatch covers. To make it movable 0.5mm brass were used into the holes and the handles were glued with CA.
