My club has build nights on Thursdays and I found that building my normal 1/48 aircraft those evenings was difficult because we could only brush paint, no airbrushing nor spray cans. There’s too much that needs painting as you build an aircraft so I switched to building armor as most of my fellow builders do. I chose the Tamiya T-72 simply because it’s Tamiya and I like the look of the tank, no to mention that I spent 5 years in Germany waiting for them to come over the fence.
After about four weeks of build nights I had it to the point of continuing at home, what with the little fiddily parts remaining and then paint.
Two days ago I got her primed,
and today I got on the base green using my Modeler Master Russian Armor Green.
I will be trying AK’s rubber black marker for the road wheels and then picking out details, probably brush painting. I’ve never weathered a tank so that will be another challenge. So far I’m pleased with how this has gone but I sure do want to do an aggressor F/A-18 !
