Tamiya Tiger I Early Production 1/35 – Scratch Mods & Full Weathering

Finished my Tamiya Tiger I Early Production (1/35) with some scratch modifications and a full paint and weathering

pass.

Mods: track sag with tissue paper, hand-twisted wire tow cable, camouflage net from mesh fabric, foliage camouflage

using dried plant material, and some repositioned figure parts.

Painting: Tamiya LP Panzer Grey base coat, AK panel washes and streaking grime, pigment powder for the lower hull mud

and tracks, Vallejo for detail work on tools and tarp.

Nice!

But it does look a little impractical. The foliage is blocking the commander’s view through his vision slots.

Actually the foliage doesn’t block the vision slots — the top-down angle made it hard to tell! Here’s a front view so

you can see the commander’s position more clearly.

Sorry, I should have explained.

These are the commander’s vision slits.

Ah, you’re absolutely right — I see it now! Thanks for pointing that out, David. Something to keep in mind for the next build!
