Almost a week ago I finished painting this Tamiya 1:16 scale miniature, I decided to paint it with the black tank uniform, with the black m43 cap, it’s the first time I use this kind of drybrushing with AK washes, I really like the final result.
Uniform looks great. Nicely shaded and highlighted. Detailing looks good as well. Only downside I can see is the head. The proportions look off to me. Maybe an aftermarket head like Alpine or Reedees would lift it.

Thank you so much for the compliments. In fact you are right, the face is realistic but a little big, I will have to resort to some customizations if necessary.
I agree with @Lazarus - the uniform is painted nicely with the tones of black showing through quite well. The head is painted well too- the skin tones and shading are solid. I must commend you on the detail painting too- the ribbons and insignia are picked out with precision.
In terms of a little improvement (something to consider for your next figure) would be a little less white in the eyes at this scale- also perhaps try using an off-white color or even a light flesh color for the whites of the eyes. I would also say to consider a shade more color in the lips too- it could be the lighting but they look a little too brown to me. One other thing would be to consider giving the leather parts a coat of satin varnish- it will impart a slight sheen that mimics leather quite well.
Thank you so much for the compliments and advice, with a future miniature I will use these tips.
For the lips I used the Citadel layer cadian fleshtone, and then a coat of Citadel shade reikland flashlade, in fact it is a bit too brown, it is not a question of lighting, my goal was to make them a bit more pink than the skin, but at this point I should either not use the Citadel layer cadian fleshtone anymore, or mix it with a Vallejo dark skin color, at least this way you get something darker and pinker but not as much as the skin of the face.
Yes I understand what you mean- lips can be a difficult thing to approach as you have to balance the color of the lips against the particular skin tone.
An idea I considered is to make the lips pinker, but always using the same type of colors (Vallejo). But always keeping a Vallejo as the primary color.
For example, mixing Dark Flesh (70.927 Vallejo) with a reddish brown, like 70.814 Vallejo burnt red, to be more realistic.
I started painting embracing the philosophy of very colorful faces (at least for 1/35 scale miniatures).
Then I tried with this 1/16 scale miniature and I basically used the same technique I use to paint 1/35 scale miniatures on a 1/16 scale miniature, obviously trying to make it more realistic and detailed since it is in a larger scale than a 1/35 scale miniature.
Dark flesh is a decent color to start the lips from- I would tend to use a colour like that myself. Then it would depend on the skin tone where I go after. If it’s pale skin then a little more of a reddish tone would be used. A nice dark color should be then painted in to the deepest recess- usually the lip parting- with a lighter tone added to the edge of the lips. That usually does enough to impart the shape of the lips.
