Bill Cross reviews the new Dana Bell book TBD Devastator in Action from Squadron Signal Publications.
Looks like a great book. So much better than the SSP books of the 70s. (Although I don’t think they were bad.) Poor ol’ TBD, a cutting-edge warplane when it joined the fleet in 1937. And with those big wings, a stunning machine of the “yellow-wings” era. I agree with what Bill wrote, that now I want to buy a TBD to build with this book.
It is hard to beat a Dana Bell book.
Looks like one that I’d like to add to my library.
Thanks, Guys, it’s another winner from Dana.
I almost bought a copy at the Atlanta AMPS show. Not sure why I didn’t.
