I never even got mine started…
Tamiya Sd.kfz. 223 Armored Radio Car
All work on the fake interior is finished. (Subsequent to seeing this picture, the cross bar on the commander’s pedestal was straightened.) With the turret in place, most of this is not visible.
Shep Paine would be proud.

Having never painted an interior before, this project is now in Here Be Dragons territory.
Priming and painting the interior in one day proved impossible using my evil airbrush.
Badger primer takes time to cure. If I paint and mask the floor tomorrow, the primer is very probably going to lift.
Ok, I see @Damraska and @Armor_Buff are hard at work to get their entries done!!
In order to minimize the risc of messing up in order to meet the deadline, I will extend the campaign by one week if/when needed.
Kali cat said six hours at the workbench was the limit for today.
We accomplished the following…
Installed wheels & sprockets
Installed one track of the tracks
Painted the tools

In this picture, splatter brush mayhem is on full display. A bunch of scratch built stuff is not straight. Filler did not fill, as usual. Even with all the mistakes, I am still on schedule.
My work area includes a lot of junk saved for some day. Well, some day has arrived! An old round plaque will serve as the project base. Wire from a dead extension cord became the core of a big tree. An old brick of Milliput now serves as the wood and bark of the three. This is all new to me. Hope it works.
Milliput sets too fast to make wood and then sculpt bark in one go. The plan is to sculpt the core tree, then add bark in subsequent sessions.
The scene still needs a large rock outcrop and a figure (or perhaps two). The figure requires a flowing robe. That will be tough to sculpt. For the rock outcrop, I need to dig up something solid and bulky to serve as the core.
It still looks fine. I obsess the same way, but I have learned to tell myself no one is studying the inside of my builds. Except the guy with the 3000 lumen Maglite and the dangling camera strap.
@Armor_Buff Nice work!
@Damraska As stated do not worry about the hardly visible interior too much. It is there, you know it is there and everyone else will only see a hint of it, if at all.
Update
The track is exactly one link too short. The single spare link remaining was used to fit the other track. The other spares are on the side of the turret.
Found a couple of SK-2(full set)/SK-5(spares for turret) Model-Kasten sets available worldwide, and one was even fairly close at M&Models.com which was ordered with expedited shipping.
So today, turned attention to sourcing figures. Found three plastic Tamiya figures from 1989 or before that met criteria for Great Ones Campaign plus some old 80’s(?) era resin heads. I think they are Hornet or Verliden, really no idea.
Hopefully, a figure(s) will emerge while waiting on the spare track links to arrive.
With good fortune a figure will appear less hideous than my prior attempts…

Many boxes and supply crates are now in paint.
Masking the interior took a while. More equipment is ready for paint.
The masking did a good enough job to proceed to the next step.
The tree now has some roots and bark. Finishing the tree will require about 6 more sculpting session. That is cutting it very close.
Today, trials and tribulations modifying one figure and painting him.
Used the 1989 Tamiya Late Tiger 1 figure. Replaced the left arm with one with sleeve rolled up and repositioned the other are lower.
With five hours invested, calling this a good faith effort to modify and paint a figure for the campaign.
Really hoping the track links arrive tomorrow
Oil wash is slowly drying.
Hope to be able to drybrush tomorrow…and to make that possible the old Death Ray heat lamp from back in the day that melted a Dragon T-34/85 is back in action
The Death Ray lamp, it seems to make better pictures than the LED lights!
You’re nailing it. You’re nailing it!
Based on this picture 218 of sPzAbt 502 had hand drawn or rough markings in my opinion.
So the markings were applied by hand.
However, at this point I’m stuck waiting on the spare track links ordered a few days ago to arrive.
Given how many details were damaged installing the first track, the other track has to go on before the repairs are made. Final filter and flat coat will be applied after track is installed.
Edit - (6pm est) Later this evening the track links arrived. Painted “missing link” ( pun) and installed it.
Interesting! Fist time that I’ve ever seen a photo of a Tiger with the “waffle” type zimmerit, instead of the usual ridged type.
I just saw that this campaign has an award medal in the first post. Did you still want me to design something?
