The “Rocket Express”. A monorail for children that carried kids around the toy department on the 8th floor at the John Wanamaker department store in Center City, Philadelphia, Circa 1950s.

The fact they had the windows wired shut makes me believe that one of these kids was tossing stuff from the Windows or yeeted his little brother …

The kids pictured certainly look like they ARE being hauled off to prison - not very happy about it! Me, I would have be ecstatic to ride this custom monorail. (at least the first time.)
