Great little scene, packed with both action and details you are creating there…

Thanks to all of you!
@RonW I will definitely give it a try! I have done that in 1/72 a couple of times. How hard could it be in 1/35 he he….

1/72 4-5 years ago….

I have painted the smock, it’s ready except for some small detail work.
Here is some pictures of the different steps:

Face paint: The German is painted with Andreas color, the American with AK, as you see I must repainting the American a bit.

I put mortar on the wall, it is magic how good it’s looks just by adding that.

Oops, it’s a little too big difference between the old building and the newly made bricks in the door opening…. Well I have to do something about this.

That would depend on when the bricks would be placed? If it was recent, they would look brand new…

Holy Smokes ! This will be one awesome diorama when completed ! GREAT & natural poses on the figures, not a stiff pose in the bunch! Outstanding paint work on the completed figures!
Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing !

@golikell You are right of course. Fact is that the building is a ruin, let us say since a couple of month. The bricks was built 2-3 years before that. So just a little weathering and detail work would be fine. But I must build some left overs from the old stairs that have been removed as they stopped using the door.
@Ivanhoe6 Thanks a lot. Yes, as you see I put a lot of time to find the best figures and optimize every pose in all of my works.

Keep in mind that brick do not really age very fast… The amount of change also does vary depending on the environment such as pollution, dust, but not really the sun. The front of my house is not darker or lighter than the rest (front= south) even though they are approx. 20 years old…

@golikell Thanks for the advice, I feel comfortable and I think the wall will be great.

Tonight I did some painting on the running officer. I will improve the highlighting and shadow effects on the uniform and boots. The face is just painted with the base color. As you see he his holding a fork in his right hand, yes, it will be spaghetti and tomato sauce on that fork!
I am quite pleased with his hat.

Thanks man!
I have been practicing making spaghetti in 1/35 all day
This is how it’s looking right now. Maybe I give it another try…

Maybe just a tad less pasta so the fork prongs are still visible… and twirl.
BTW: What material are you using for the pasta?

Now I’m hungry! :spaghetti:

Another great idea… Figure blending of the parts and painting is exceptional :+1:

I modified the pasta a bit. The fork is as it is, see first picture.

The pasta is made by steel wool.

The figure had for an unknown reason got to much paint in his right eye. Instead of trying to remove the paint I decided to let him have an eye patch.
It was a “small job” to make that one…

After I painted his face and modifying his pasta his looks like this:
Please note that his boots and belt isn’t done yet.

Very clever and an idea that I’m sure no one else would of thought of Erik. The whole thing tells a story of surprise, panic and being caught off guard. Once all the parts are in play on the base area it will be truly a one off scene :+1::+1:

Thanks John! Yes I hope to make something no one have thought of before.
Quite fast and easy I just made the planks for the window.
Balsa wood, black primer, some brown paint then dry and then 1 minutes with the color pencils.

Working on a wood barrel, my idea is that it will be two bullet holes in it and red wine is flowing out of the holes. Red wine, red blood and red tomato sauce… perfect for my massacre scene:)

Time for bed soon… cheers

The details in this just keep coming! Really like what you’ve done with the SS officer and the pasta- the eye patch was a fantastic way to add a bit more character too and also an inspired way to cover up a bit of a paint mis-hap. Really nice to see how you achieved the weathered look on the wood with pencils.
