In the pic of the city looking north over Roosevelt Island there is a tall red building by itself across from the west side of the island, about in line with the small bridge on the east side. I lived in the shadow of the red building a block in from the East River. Yorkville, for those who know the city.
I saw in one of the pics my old work place was still standing alongside its partner down near Wall Street. My wife and I were antiquing a few weekends back and I found a shot glass with the Twin Towers on it so I bought it even though I don’t drink because the new tourist paraphernalia is updated to the Freedom Tower now. I like having reminders of NYC before The Great Decline. I hope they don’t/haven’t removed it from the exhibit to reflect the current era.
