Hello everyone it’s Craig cornflake 
here again, I would like to show you all this Tamiya easy 8 Sherman I’ve painted and all that, I’ve tried out various new techniques and and all that, I’ve used mig ammo shaders to create these shadows with an airbrush which I have anyway and I’ve also used an Incy wincy little brush off Amazon to do these chipped bits with brown paint, first time doing airbrushed armor, I think it turned out decent

Excellent model! Great work! I really liked the paint job and the weathering. The sandbags look a bit flat. Next time, you might to try making the sandbags out of Milliput putty. It’s very easy to use and can be molded into any shape. You can cover the model with a plastic bag and sculpt the sandbags directly onto it.
Once it hardens, it’s easy to remove and paint. You can check out my model as an example. Good luck with your future projects!
Thank you for the advice! I’ve never tried this before, this kit was a very old build that I got second hand as in someone else had built it so the sand bags weren’t my idea which they weren’t anyway, but next time I make sandbags I’ll do them out of milliput or something similar not these Tamiya ones because quite frankly they’re a bit rubbish and all that

I’m going to be a little critical here, so don’t take it wrong. Your tank is very nicely done and the running gear is super nice. However, to me, the sandbags are a distraction. They are much to “flat” and don’t conform well. The bags if I remember where more or less burlap and started out darker than what you have. That’s an easy fix. These are from Panzerart

I think you’re very correct and my colours don’t fit my tank, the sandbags are far too cartoonish and I distinctly had trouble shading them, this is the problem with Tamiya sand bags as they aren’t very good which they aren’t anyway, it’s not on really, I’ll incorporate your design and fit the tone of the bags similarly to the tank, many thanks.

Sand is heavy !!! So, keep your bags small.
We don’t get much for Winter anymore in southern Wisconsin. Freezing rain more often than snow.
So I scatter sand on sidewalks & driveway. I get my sand from the hardware store and it comes in 70# tubes. These tubes aren’t that big. I’d guesstimate that sand bags you see on most kits would be about a150 pounds, at least in real life.
Just my 2 cents worth.
