Throw a track on a Jagdpanzer IV

The guys at Oz Armour need to fix a track so they move it to their workshop, it doesn’t make it before it breaks.

Great video, I’m pretty sure a lot of us have had that very problem. For me the only difference being I’d get the beer sorted first.

I think those words are on the top ten list of famous last words …

Maybe it was weakened by a mine 80+ years ago - can’t help noticing the video-still above isn’t far off my attempt to portray a busted track…

Yep, 3:30 on a Friday and you have to fix a broken track. Just another day being a tanker!

The AusArmour guys were lucky; the track broke in a clean paved area and not deep in the mud (IYKYK).

And not under fire, which would complicate the task for a Bergepanzer hooking up tow cables to pull it back to where it could be worked on.

Now my back hurts. More than usual.

Note to self. If I ever succumb to severe lack of wisdom (again) and buy myself a tank, make sure to budget for a tank recovery vehicle, a fork lift, and the after tank breakdown party.
