nice announcement
I guess that most of you here are waiting for the heavy wrecking truck M1A1 (Ward LAFrance Series 5). Apparently, however, Thunder Model jumps on the MiniArt train and sucks out the existing molds as much as possible. Competitors get their chance to bring their own model to market earlier. You don’t have to understand. But i will grap the chanche if it happens.

Happy modelling

You have to remember that the Series 5 is going to take a lot more work to produce, since it is quite different from the Series 1-4. New cab, new fenders and bumper, new rear deck, etc. Other than the chassis, virtually an entire new kit. So while it is in the works, why not release the other Series 1-4 versions which take much less work.

Still odd because they began the M1A1 first years ago . I think it will be more popular so they released the closed cab M1 first so they can sell us both !

If I had 80k I could put that in and make M1A1 and wait 2 years to get the investment back and then start the other series. Or I could put in 50k for the other series, get them back in 6 months and put 30k more to make M1A1. Though the chassis is almost identical, M1A1 cab and completely different crane and body require 3 additional molds and will still use 5 of 7 existing sprues for early series. Unlike Miniart, Thunder is just a 1 enthusiast man effort and with everything happening recently things just get more harder day by day. It is easy to say things without knowing what’s behind everything, how much work, effort, renunciation. It as extremely hard if you need to explain your 3 years old son he had to wait for his pedal tractor 6 months because papa needed to pay the molds first

Guys, for those who don’t know, Libor has been a force of nature for small, obscure and otherwise impossible kits that large manufacturers would never bring out. Mirror Models? LZ Models? He is a great guy who is bringing out a vehicle that no styrene company would touch. Show him the respect and indeed love he deserves for what he has done for us all.

Libor and I have been friends for quite some time…as early as his MIrror Models days. I get new release emails from him all the time with built in reductions to new kits if I choose to do so.

You’re a modeling force Libor…keep up with releases of that ‘odd’ vehicle!
