Tiger Massa Lombarda

Hello everyone
While tidying up (attempting…) my modelling chaos, this old project (about 20 years…)of mine came back into my hands.
Making a model of a Tiger destroyed a few kilometres from my home, probably one of the last heavy-vehicle battles in the Po Valley
to make it I had purchased the legendary Tamiya ‘Silver’ Tiger

But how nice it is to do historical research!
To commemorate the Battle of Massalombarda (soon to be 80 years old) I set out to build this model.
To research it further, I also bought After the Battle 122, which gives a very detailed account. But here comes the fun part! I cross those roads almost daily, I played there as a child, and I have heard accounts of those terrible days.
But I discovered things I didn’t know, such as the presence of the Massalombarda-Borgo Tossignano railway, and I found myself looking in my car for the remaining signs of the old railway line and then correctly repositioning some tanks in my memory.
It remains to correctly position Via Trebeghino, which is badly placed on the map… this in the next research…
Technically to make the model I have to buy stencils to make the black and white decals and reconstruct the vital trailing cables that have been lost over time. But this is only part of this wonderful historical research
Now I’m going to rummage through my historical archive to see if : there was also a PzIV as a back-up and if a Cromwell was also lost on the way out of town

Could you show us a photo of this Tiger? I have a few photos labelled “Massa Lombardo” but I don’t see any wires…

My wires are your towing cables…
