'Time for a smoke' Now available

Latest sculpt - US Green Beret, Vietnam. Now available in 1/35, 1/24, 1/16 and 1/10. Im very fortunate to have had the sculpt approved by a former US Recon Marine. His assistance has proved invaluable in helping with the smaller details. Things one wouldn’t even consider, such as the pin on the smoke grenade being taped up. Its these smaller details that make the world of difference in terms of historical accuracy.

Figure / Equipment details:

Early Pattern Tiger Stripes (see attached image for cut – tiger patterns varied during this period)

3rd Pattern Tropical Combat Boots

M1956 Webbing – 2 x 20 round Mag Pouches & 2 x Canteens

(The above items are produced directly attached to the figure. I will include a separate 20 round mag pouch and an additional smoke grenade in case anyone wishes to add extra items.

For those who dont like digital renders Ive also primed the 75mm version and attached images of the parts and figure in this scale.

Available directly via www.conceptminiatures.co.uk

this figure looks amazing and you are a credit to the modelling community for actually doing detailed research and securing assistance from a former vietnam era recon marine.

the only issue i have and it might be I’m wrong as i wasn’t there but i find the time difference between the very early tiger stripe cammo and the new combat boots to be a bit of a stretch depending on the boots having a vibram or panama sole.

the figure looks like he is with an A-Team at his camp and certainly not tooled up for MACV-SOG recon or hatchet force team.

kind regards

@Klaus-Adler,

The intent of the figure was not to represent MACV-SOG, MIKE Force, or Hatchet Force but a member of an A-Team either at his camp or on a short range security patrol.

The boot soles are vibram soles, so they are fine for early and late war.

Mark is one of the few besides Vladimir from Bravo 6 who do a good amount of research on the subject and who also accepts feedback to help produce an accurate figure. He has a pretty good eye for attention to detail which will set his figures in the higher tiers.

P.S.: The former Recon Marine in question is actually one from the 1980s-90s, but who has been studying and modeling Vietnam subjects since 1979.
