Modified 2 Squadron SAAF Ground Servicing Equipment Jeep used by the Squadron Technicians to carry out minor repairs and servicing to aircraft on the flight line.

This may have to do with the AN/APG-30 radar gunsight fitted to the F-84E version.
Here’s a French AF jeep that looks quite similar. According to the caption it is used as a test bed for the radar gunsight of the Dassault Super Mystère B2
