Either its the way it 'spose to be or there is sumthin not right to MY eye about how the tires fit to the rims. The tires seem too small, or the rims too big, as there is a gap from the edge of the tire to the edge of the rim…it just looks odd…no…?

I had that problem with Hobby Boss tires on their old Land Rver kits. They were notoriously ill fitting. Just have a look online. There were two solutions I found worked, One was to squeeze the tries from the back and force the rubber tire out to contact the rim all the way around on the outboarfd side. Of course then the inboard side is squished in noticeably, However, you can take a brand new no. 11 blade, pierce the tire in several places, and finesse the tire out toward the rim. The holes will disappear.
Prior to that trick I just added some spacers to the two wheel halves.
Hmmm… Third option: Wait for Def Models to offer a resin wheel/tire combo.
Have a look at Spot models in Spain, they have a great range of 1/24 Rims and tyres, you
might not find an exact match but they may have something you could use in the meantime.
