Well, it’s not like GRU & FSB couldn’t look up that article, or similar ones, themselves on open source sites. And I’ll bet that their own logistics people know their own limitations on pushing support forward. It’s the top dogs who sell their capabilities to the decision makers through their own “filters” (a no BS assessment is not good for career prospects in many organizations) is where the best case and worst case scenarios clash.

pretty sure that gravel air strip is the one about three klicks east of the Ashau Valley. Or two to three miles east. That’s where the Skyraider pilot picked up his buddy and left several men that were shot up real bad. Also where Bennie Adkins got his CMH after there was a fight for it that lasted forty years. The Skyraider pilot got one as well, but nobody knows why! That photo is probably from 1969 or early 1970
