Trieste 1945

Hi all here is my latest work, a Horch Kfz 17 radio car.

I started from a Bronco kit for the chassis, the mudguards and the engine cover, all the rest is scratchbuilt, the car has also all the internal fittings

The Sidecar is the new Tamiya Zündapp Ks 600, the figures are some Tamiya mixed parts with Arto and Hornet heads sets.

Building is also scratchbuilt from styrofoam.

Enjoy!

Cheers

Alessandro you’ve done an excellent job on your diorama! the vehicles came great especially the Horch. I love the detailed engine and camo job. Your figures are very well done and the building makes an excellent backdrop for the whole scene. Again excellent job!

The dio looks very nice. If I may ask: what makes this dio recognizable as taking place in Triëste?

That’s a diorama to be proud of. Wish my skills were up to this level!!

Hi all and thank you for the kind words, the diorama is set in Trieste due to this picture, taken in Trieste at the end of WWII, the car bears a sign in the form of a halberd, the iconic sign of the city of Trieste.

Cheers!

Wow, nice! I would have loved to see some RSI Italians and Slovenian MVAC in this as well.

Lovely work Alessandro! A really nice, clean bunch of builds there! Was the building scratch built or was it a kit?

Hi,

yes the building was made from styrofoam, doors and windows are plastic strips and sheets, roof tiles are 3D printed from Scientific Models.

Thanks for the information. One must really be knowledgeable to discern this detail. The extra antennae base on the original picture would be a nice addition, but I recon that would be hard to come by.
