TRUMPETER 1/48 WWII GERMAN TYPE VII sub

Hi !

Here a project I ben working on for a while , I bought myself this kit as a christmas present and been working on since , So far I’m almost true with the conning tower , I work on it once a week except on the first week of the month ,so you should be seeing on a regular base my advance , In mid-time if you like to view what I have done so far , I have set up an Google page for it , here the link:

(OCT 11th)…Today ,I painted the clear side of the tower just need to clean it up !

Hi Jmarc,

that looks very cool so far, I like the concept of the cut outs to see the interior. Very little point there, the reddish color is probably incorrect, they were more like ‘dark white’/eggshell inside with grey instruments. But certainly, the reddish makes it pop out better through the transparent parts.
In 1/48 that certainly is a beast of o model, but gives you the opportunity to really work out the details.

Really nice work so far, I’m in and following (even if I am an unreliable/unfrequent poster…)

Thanks for the kind word !.. On the red occide , well from the pics I have seen on the net on the one they have restore the white was’nt use outside the living compartement , they have pics of the different section went they cut it up … anyway more to come since I work on it once a week except the first week of the month !

(OCT 16th)…Today ,I clean the clear section and gave it a coat of future , I also continue the seat that will be display around the gun fence and finally cut from there sprue the gun parts !

(OCT 30th)…Today ,I sanded the gap under the tower and painted it , glued the seat wooden board and done the railing wire holder and painted it !

Great work!

Regarding the red occide, in you WIP it becomes clear which parts you painted red, got that wrong on the pics in here. The way you are doing it makes perfect sense!

(NOV 20th)…Today ,I completed the side pipes and glued them into place , also done few more pipes to be place later on in the conning tower finally started the machine gun mount !
