Trumpeter E-100 Africa Korps What if

Built this kit several years ago. It’s the Trumpeter, 1/35 E-100. Fictional Afrika Korps decals
. Added fuel cans and racks, as well a storage box on the turret.

Thank you and thanks all.

Interesting fact : in order to cross the Suez, they considered using Royal Navy DDs captured in the port of Alexandria, but the E100s were just too heavy, so the only heavies crossing into Suez were the Lowe II and Jagdpumas. They were part of the Army Group Babylon, and most got destroyed in late 47 during the second Battle of Teheran by Indian Centurions.

Now that is an interesting storyline!

Got me thinking now.

Nice build and really good paint work and finish…that is my favourite E100, the Super heavy …

Yes, my favorite super heavy as well. I’ve got a set of E-100 fruil tracks and am looking for another E100. Maybe the Amusing Hobby Krupp version.

Wow, nice!

Shouldn’t it have more dust on it though?

It should but I was just looking to finish it. Life was busy at that time.

Just say it was in a parade in Cairo.

And it went around and round.

Mussolini must have been presiding over the parade.

Thank you!!

Which brown wash/panel liner do you use? It looks lovely.

I think I used burnt umber oils for the wash.

Explains it - smooth as silk and beautifully blended. You have got a lot of skill.
